YMCA Afterschool Care
The YMCA Child Care Program is an afterschool child care service offered at all eight MISD elementary schools and Dieterich Middle School* (walk to Miller Elementary). The program serves children ages 4-12, grades Pre-K - 8, with care available from school dismissal until 6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The YMCA maintains a staff to child ratio of 1 teacher per 15 kids. The program is licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and conforms to the strict standards of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas.
Children are provided with a healthy snack, an opportunity to complete homework, guided activities which follow an intentionally aligned curriculum with TEKS and HEPA standards, special projects and culminating events such as Braingames and International Festival, arts and crafts, and indoor/outdoor recreational play under the supervision of trained YMCA staff. We have an underlying goal, which seeks to provide a happy atmosphere, develop positive self-esteem in children, strengthen self-discipline, stimulate self-expression, and to help build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.

YMCA Super-Saver Weekend July 10 - 13
Register for YMCA Afterschool Childcare between July 10 and 13 to receive 50% off the registration fee for each child, providing a savings of $50 per participant.
