District Calendar

The MISD Learning Calendar incorporates professional learning days spread throughout the year that will provide teachers with additional time for professional learning, lesson planning and classroom preparation.

The days, color-coded as pink on the calendar, are student holidays. Intentionally carving out additional professional learning time in the calendar is meant to support rigor in the curriculum and student success. Students will still attend the same number of academic minutes as they have in previous school years.

The MISD Board of Trustees approved the 2024-2025 Learning Calendar of Trustees at its Feb. 26 meeting. The adopted calendar includes seven Pink Days and complies with the state requirement to provide a minimum of 75,600 instructional minutes and 187 teacher contract days.
