Student Cell Phone Policy
Beginning August 13, the first day of school, all Midlothian ISD students will follow the new state law that prohibits student use of personal communication devices at school during the instructional day. The goal and intent of the new law is to increase student focus on learning by minimizing distractions.
We anticipate that a cell phone-free school will have a positive impact on school climate, mental health, and student safety. The district has created FAQs to help answer questions about the new law and procedures MISD will follow, including the use of storage pouches for grades 6-12.
