Midlothian Independent School District

Midlothian ISD takes the concern of bullying seriously and uses proactive measures to educate students and staff.  View Freedom from Bullying policy FFI (Local)

Bullying occurs when a student or group of students engages in written or verbal expression or physical conduct that:

  • Will have the effect of physically harming a student, damaging a student’s property, or placing a student in reasonable fear of harm to the student’s person or of damage to the student’s property; or
  • Is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that the action or threat creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for a student.

Cyberbullying is the use of the Internet, cell phones, or other electronic devices to intentionally engage acts of harassment and cruelty towards another person that results in emotional harm.

How To Report A Bullying Incident

Any student who believes that he or she has experienced bullying should immediately report the alleged acts to a teacher, counselor, principal, or other district employee. A report may be made orally or in writing.  Anonymous reports can be submitted using the See It. Hear It. Stop It. link on the district and campus websites. If the investigation indicates that bullying occurred, the district shall take appropriate disciplinary or corrective action to address the conduct in accordance with the district’s Student Code of Conduct.
