Choir
In Midlothian ISD, we strive to build a culture of choral excellence where students of diverse interests can come together and share in the beauty and power of music. We desire to impact the lives of our students and community through the creative and expressive medium of choral music - a universal language.
Middle School Choir
Our mission is to give students a foundation of musical knowledge while fostering an atmosphere that nurtures vocal confidence, both individually and as an ensemble. Choral students will develop a greater passion for singing through sight reading, a variety of sacred and secular repertoire, and creative opportunities, including: TMEA All-Region Honor Choir, District Middle School Solo and Ensemble Contest, UIL Concert & Sight-Reading competition, and solo auditions for various performances.
High School Choir
Our mission is to advance the choral arts through education, performance, and collaboration at the highest artistic level, fostering individual musical development and relationships. Students involved in the High School Choral Department have opportunities to hone their individual talents by entering the TMEA All-State Process, compete at annual UIL Solo & Ensemble competitions, participate in the annual UIL Concert & Sight-Reading competition, study advanced choral literature, and have opportunities to perform in a variety of musical styles.
