About LEAP Academy

LEAP Academy is a non-traditional setting which allows students to complete their high school education while facing unforeseen circumstances. Midlothian ISD does not want any student to have to choose between completing their education and challenges life throws their way. LEAP Academy exists to help students earn a diploma and achieve further success after high school.

At LEAP, each student must complete all Texas graduation requirements including required courses/credits, STAAR testing, and those specified by Midlothian ISD. Students at LEAP Academy are required to earn an endorsement and be college, career, or military ready for post-secondary success.

LEAP Academy holds students to the highest educational standards. An individualized graduation pathway is developed as a blueprint to attaining their diploma. If a student does not meet academic and/or attendance standards at LEAP, a student will be put on academic probation, and then if necessary will be withdrawn from the program and return to their home campus.

Please note that LEAP Academy is NOT for early graduation. If a student desires to graduate early, they must speak to their counselor at Midlothian High School or Midlothian Heritage High School. Early graduation is a different process within Midlothian ISD.

We invite you to learn more about the application process for LEAP Academy by reviewing the Qualification and Application Process. Families interested in exploring this option for their student are encouraged to contact the student's counselor at Heritage or Midlothian High School.
