College and Career Readiness
Parents and guardians are our best partners in ensuring our students are ready for college and career opportunities. Our district provides a robust Career and Technology Education (CTE) program for secondary students. These pathways of study are explained in the Midlothian ISD Academic Planning Guide.
Schoolinks
MISD utilizes Schoolinks as its comprehensive planning platform to support College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR). Through Schoolinks, students and families can engage in career exploration, course planning, graduation tracking, college searches, and postsecondary application management. Schoolinks allows students to develop and update their Personal Graduation Plan, monitor progress toward graduation and CCMR requirements, and explore colleges, career pathways, and workforce opportunities in one centralized system.
Families are strongly encouraged to actively use Schoolinks throughout a student’s middle and high school years to support informed decision-making and long-term planning.
NCAA Eligibility
Understanding eligibility requirements of NCAA for all student athletes wishing to play at the collegiate level is vital. Visit NCAA directly to become familiar with the different division requirements as well as individual sport requirements. Below is an informative slide presentation for parents and student athletes to reference. Please contact your child's school counselor if you have questions related to your child's academics and NCAA requirements.
