Scholarships

The Midlothian ISD Education Foundation provides support to teachers of the district through two different scholarship funds for employees who are furthering their education. The Dolores W. McClatchey Teaching Scholarship is for teachers who are pursuing graduate level degrees and the MEF Paraprofessional Scholarship is for employees who are pursuing a degree in the field of education or a degree leading to a teacher certification. Each recipient receives a scholarship in the amount of $500.  

In 2020, MEF awarded seven recipients the Dolores W. McClatchey Teaching Scholarship and five recipients the MEF Paraprofessional Scholarship. Since its inception, MEF has invested over $86,000 back in MISD through this scholarship program. The 2021 scholarship application cycle opens on April 1, 2021.
