MISD Servant Leader Award
The Midlothian Independent School District Board of Trustees, in 2008, created the Servant Leader Award. Each year staff members nominate employees who possess the qualities of a servant leader. The Board of Trustees selects a three recipient from the nominees - one from each employee group: Professional, Manual Trades/Custodial, and Para-professional.
Qualities of a Servant Leader
- Devote themselves to serving the needs fro MISD
- Focus on meeting the needs of those whom they serve
- Foster an environment that brings out the best in others through their actions
- Listen and build a sense of community
