Trustees applaud life-saving excellence
In Midlothian ISD, we are family. Every child, teacher, staff member, and parent is a part of our inclusive family, and we treat each person with respect. Kindness always matters in every interaction. This belief and cultural tenet is celebrated throughout our organization, and when a staff member goes above and beyond the call of duty to exemplify our cultural tenets we want to shine a spotlight on those actions and efforts.
MISD received a message of thanks crediting the actions of two Midlothian High School coaches for saving the life of a Panther fan who had gone to watch a game at the MHS Arena. The message shared that the 84-year-old arrived at the Arena with, unbeknownst to him, a dead oxygen machine. Coach Jennifer Haltom and Coach Amy Tennison were there to assist the fan. They contacted 9-1-1 and stayed with him until emergency responders arrived. Paramedics stabilized and avoided intubating him. The family credits these two coaches for helping to save their father. We are MISD Proud of Coach Haltom and Coach Tennison.
