Six students named National Merit Commended Scholars
Six students named National Merit Commended Scholars
Midlothian ISD is proud to announce that six students have been named Class of 2026 National Merit Commended Scholars. Trustees recognized these students for their exceptional academic performance at the October 20, 2025, monthly meeting.

The College Board annually recognizes the top scorers on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. These Class of 2026 Commended Students are among the 34,000 students in the nation to be recognized as a Top 2% scorer. Selection is based on Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) results.
With this honor, some students may also qualify for corporate- and business-sponsored scholarships. All of these students are part of an elite group of high school seniors nationwide who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
The students awarded this high honor of National Commended Scholars are:

- Emily Faber, Midlothian High School
