Salary increases approved for 2025-26 fiscal year

Salary increases approved for 2025-26 fiscal year

The Midlothian ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved pay increases at its July 21 meeting. That approval brings meaningful salary increases to teachers and staff across the district. These updates align with House Bill 2, recently passed in the 89th Legislative Session, and are retroactive to July 1, 2025.

The adjustments to the compensation plan reflect Midlothian ISD's commitment to retain high-quality teachers and support staff. Under the new plan:

  • Teacher salaries will increase by 4.5% to 8.5%, based on years of service.
  • The new starting teacher's salary is now $60,000.
  • All other staff will receive at least a 3% raise from the pay grade midpoint.

While HB 2 provides state funding to increase teacher and support staff pay, Midlothian ISD went beyond the minimum requirements of HB 2, ensuring all MISD staff see a salary increase. This includes positions not directly funded by the new legislation.
