Oversight committee meets as MISD makes progress on Bond 2025 Program

The Midlothian ISD Bond 2025 Oversight Committee held its first meeting on April 27, marking an important step the the implementation of the voter approved bond program. Comprised of community members, the group will carry on the work of the Facility Planning Committee that met last spring on the bond project recommendations that are now part of the approved bond program.

The Bond Oversight Committee will play a key role in supporting transparency and staying aligned with what voters approved as projects move forward. During the meeting, district leaders provided updates on early progress, including the selection of architects, construction methods for each project, and initial planning efforts for priority projects such as Elementary #9 and the Career and Technology Education Center.

The committee will meet periodically throughout the implementation of all three Bond 2025 projects to receive updates and provide community perspective as the bond work progresses.
