MISD launches planning phase for Bond 2025

MISD launches planning phase for Bond 2025

During the November 17 monthly meeting, Midlothian ISD trustees voted 6-0 to approve the results of the November 4 election, officially approving all three bond propositions supported by voters. With the election now canvassed, the district is set to move forward with the planning stage for each proposition. As part of next steps, the district has identified four high-priority projects: construction of a new elementary school, development of a new Career and Technical Education center, and renovations and capital improvements at both Midlothian High School and Frank Seale Middle School.

Superintendent Dr. David Belding visited the site of Elementary #9 in Goodland. Watch this short video to hear his thoughts on the Bond 2025 planning phase that's underway.

The planning phase includes a significant amount of behind-the-scenes work to ensure strong stewardship of taxpayer funds. Over the coming months, the district will begin the RFP and RFQ processes, select architects and establish internal controls that support a well-structured and fiscally responsible bond implementation plan.

This pre-planning period may take several months. MISD will continue to keep families and community members informed as progress is made, reinforcing our commitment to transparency throughout the process.
