MISD January 2023 Celebrations and Recognitions

This month, Midlothian ISD recognizes Sam Rayburn Day, Holocaust Remembrance Week, and School Board Appreciation Month. 

On January 6, we will recognize Sam Rayburn Day in memory of the great Texas and American statesman, Sam Rayburn. On January 23 through January 27, we will honor Holocaust Remembrance Week to educate students about the Holocaust and inspire in students a sense of responsibility to recognize and uphold the human value and to prevent future atrocities. 

The entire month of January, the district celebrates School Board Appreciation Month. Midlothian ISD is fortunate to have a Board of Trustees dedicated to consistently doing what is best for the students of MISD. Our Board consists of Board President Tami Tobey; Board Vice President Gary Vineyard; Board Secretary Eduardo Gonzalez; and Board members Mike Dillow, Richard Pena, Holly Teague, and Jessica Ward. All of our MISD Board members are committed to working together alongside district leadership to do what is best for MISD students and staff.
