MISD Board approves Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations

Rebecca Metzger will succeed retiring CFO Sandy Bundrick

Midlothian ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Rebecca Metzger as Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations to succeed Chief Financial Officer Sandy Bundrick who is retiring in December. (Read the announcement here.)

Metzger has more than 20 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. She served as Chief Financial Officer in Joshua Independent School District for the past eight years and as an accountant the previous three. Metzger spent 14 years of her finance career in the business sector.

“Rebecca’s extensive experience leading school finance and managing the implementation of a bond program in a district with similar attributes will benefit us and our students,” said Superintendent Dr. David Belding. “We are excited to welcome her to the MISD family.”

Metzger earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Tarleton State University.

“I am honored to have been chosen as the new Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations and to join the Midlothian ISD family,” said Metzger. “I understand the significant responsibility that comes with this role, and I am committed to working diligently to earn the trust of the students, staff, and community by serving them with the highest care and integrity.”
