Midlothian High School band selected as TMEA High School Invited Program Spotlight

The Midlothian High School band has been selected as a Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) High School Invited Program Spotlight, earning statewide recognition for the excellence and innovation of its music program.

The TMEA Invited Program Spotlight recognizes outstanding band programs across the state that exemplify high-quality instruction and reflect the diversity of school environments and communities. Selected programs are featured during the annual TMEA Clinic/Convention where they are recognized for their commitment to student achievement and music education.

The TMEA Invited Program Spotlight process celebrates the innovative teaching for which Texas band programs are known. The Band Division seeks to recognize high-quality programs that represent the diversity of school environments and the socioeconomic makeup of communities across the state.

“I’m so excited for our students, staff and community as we celebrate being selected as the Texas Music Educators Association High School Invited Program Spotlight,” said Midlothian High School Director of Bands Larry Doran. “This is an exceptional honor and a wonderful opportunity to showcase the incredible achievements of our students and the dedication of everyone who makes our program so special. We are proud to represent our school and grateful for this recognition. Congratulations to all!”

This recognition reflects Midlothian High School’s continued commitment to excellence in music education and the performing arts while providing students with opportunities to grow as musicians, leaders and ambassadors for their school and community.
