Midlothian HHS and MHS student-athletes give back

Throughout the fall season, MISD student-athletes from HHS and MHS took time from their busy academic and athletic endeavors to give back to the community of Midlothian. From visiting senior living centers to regularly visiting our eight elementary schools as mentors and readers, MISD students were caught inspiring excellence and changing the world.

This fall the Heritage High School girls basketball program partnered with the wrestling program for its 2nd Annual Day of Service. Students spruced up the HHS campus grounds by picking up trash and cleaning up the landscaping. The day also included a free community car wash where non-perishable food donations for Manna House were accepted. Students collected a truck bed full of food and community members donated $400, all benefiting Manna House.

Midlothian Panther Baseball hosted its annual Bikes 4 Tykes program, and our Community Ambassadors collected bikes from local families and businesses. Panther Baseball delivered 96 bikes this year, and all of the bikes will stay in the Midlothian community for local children!
