Heritage High School yearbook staff earns top honors
Heritage High School yearbook editors traveled to Austin to represent the 2023–2024 Rosette yearbook staff at the UIL Interscholastic League Press Conference (ILPC) Spring Convention. This year marked a significant milestone for the program, as The Rosette was nominated for the ILPC Star Award for the first time in school history.
The ILPC Star Award is the highest recognition available to student publications in Texas. According to the ILPC, only the top 10% of high school journalism programs across the state receive this prestigious honor.
At the convention, The 2024 Rosette was awarded the Bronze Star, placing it among the state's most outstanding publications.
In addition to the Star Award, the yearbook staff earned an impressive 19 Individual Achievement Awards in categories including writing, design, coverage, and photography.
