District announces PEIMS Director

Heather Shelton has been named the Midlothian ISD Director of PEIMS. Shelton brings nearly a decade of experience serving MISD in a variety of capacities within the PEIMS and student information services divisions. Most recently, she served as the district’s PEIMS Coordinator.

Since joining Midlothian ISD in 2016, Shelton has focused on strengthening her expertise in PEIMS compliance, student information systems, attendance accounting and state reporting. In her current role as PEIMS Coordinator, Shelton has led districtwide training efforts for teachers, administrators, counselors and campus staff while collaborating closely with individuals and groups across the district to improve PEIMS data collection and reporting systems.

“I am honored for the opportunity to continue to serve Midlothian ISD in this new role,” said Shelton. “Strong systems and accurate data are essential to supporting students and staff, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside our campuses, departments and district leaders through this new role.”

Shelton’s professional experience includes serving as a PEIMS Specialist and campus PEIMS/Attendance Registrar before advancing into district level roles.
