Bond 2025: Board approves student devices, reviews new CTE center plans

As part of the ongoing Bond 2025 implementation, the Midlothian ISD Board of Trustees approved the purchase of new student technology devices and reviewed conceptual plans for the district's future Career and Technical Education (CTE) center during the June board meeting.

The board approved the replacement of aging student devices funded through Proposition C, a technology investment informed by recommendations from the MISD Teacher Technology Cohort. The action also authorizes the sale of existing devices through a consignment process to maximize the value of current equipment.

Trustees also received an update on the planning and design process for the future CTE center funded through Proposition B. Conceptual plans developed through stakeholder engagement outline a facility that will expand career training opportunities, support workforce development and provide space for future program growth. The center will be located north of the MISD Multi-Purpose Stadium and remains on schedule and within the voter-approved budget.

Together, these projects represent the district's continued commitment to delivering on the promises made to voters through Bond 2025 while investing in student success.
