"Bandtober" Accolades

"Bandtober" Accolades

"Bandtober" is the famous nickname for high school marching bands' primary month of action, full of performances under Friday Night Lights and Saturday competitions. In Midlothian ISD, we are MISD Proud to spotlight Bandtober 2024 accolades.

The Midlothian Heritage High School Mighty Jaguar Band and the Midlothian High School Panther Regiment both earned top scores of "1" at the Region 10 UIL competition. This qualified both band programs to compete at Area alongside 27 outstanding high school bands from Regions 5, 30 and 31.

The Area F 5A State Marching Contest was held on October 26, and the Panther Regiment, including the MHS Pantherettes and Color Guard, earned an impressive 2nd-place finish and qualified for State.

Before heading to San Antonio for the State contest beginning November 4, the Panther Regiment has invited the community to a free performance of "Glassworks" at the MISD Multi-purpose Stadium on Saturday, November 2, at 7 p.m.

For those unable to attend, the National Association of State High School Associations (NFHS) Network has contracted with UIL to provide live streaming for the event.
