Growth in MISD
Enrollment continues to grow steadily in MISD. In 2023 MISD's enrollment exceeded 11,000 students and the most recent demographer's report calls for enrollment to grow 3% annually in the near term. That is an average increase of 350 students each year for the next five years. Enrollment is projected to increase between 3,200 and 4,600 students in the next ten years.
Over the past three quarters Midlothian ISD ranked 16th in new home construction compared to the other 100 school districts in the DFW area. The Vitovsky Elementary zone is producing the most new home construction with 422 starts and 266 closings over the past year. Vitovsky is currently at 94% capacity.
MISD enrollment as of August 18, 2025 reached more than 11,500 students.

The 2025 Bond Election is asking voters to approve funds to address growing enrollment.
